Chintoo saw his first daylight on 21 November 1991 in daily 'Sakal'. Since than there is no looking back. Chintoo became popular among the children as well as elders in no time.

Brainchild of Charuhas Pandit and Prabhakar Wadekar - Chintoo is apparently the only cartoon strip in Marathi which is been featured in over 5000 strips.

Chintoo has been charming readers for more than 16 years and thriving on the love of his young (and old also) readers. The main reason behind Chintoo's popularity is the humor involved which relates to our real life and thus the characters become a part of us. So far 30 volumes of Chintoo books are published by Purandare Prakashan.
